ABOUT THIS ...
There are professional habits and amateur ones. Which are you practicing? 🚀
Are you making ‘professional’ moves or ‘amateur’ ones? Ask yourself that, constantly.
There is no biohack, fast track, magic pill, or routine that will take you to the next level.
How can you maximize your off-season efforts?
I thought you’d never ask Billy. 🙂
🔑 Consistency 🔑
Gain 1% of your bodyweight per month, consume at least 1-1.2g/LB of protein daily, sleep at least 8 hours, make small increases in load or reps, rather than constantly swapping out exercises, or doing a different program every month, don’t go out drinking on the weekends, get in your fruit, vegetables, and water despite feeling bloated and full.
It isn’t sexy.
Pay attention, take notes, and be strategic.
That means modifying your habits, so that you optimize your approach each year and making small tweaks to your training and nutrition to get closer to your full potential. Remember, whether you’re dieting or gaining, consistency is always the answer. Myself and Alec have been working together for 46 weeks with the intent of undergoing a contest prep for the 2021 season- that’s almost a FULL year spent preparing before his actual ‘prep’ begins.
On the left was when we started working together at 187lbs, the right was at the end of his 8-week mini-cut at 161lbs.
We capped the mini-cut in September and since then we have been focusing on increasing food and making as many improvements as we can before prep starts.
Super proud of Alec and I’m so so excited to see him dominate. Outside of the body composition improvements, he’s also managed to substantially improve his exercise execution and his food has never been as high as it is now, at this body comp. This will be a debut szn to remember!
